Valued Rally Customers,
Rally is planning scheduled maintenance windows for or production US data center for the following dates; April 17, May 8 and May 22. During these maintenance windows Rally will be unavailable for from 12AM - 8AM MT. The scheduled maintenance will be used to complete the database architecture migration that we’ve been iteratively delivering since late 2020.
We know that over the last several months we’ve had planned and unplanned downtime that has been disruptive to our customers. We take this very seriously and appreciate that there has been frustration and apprehension when we schedule additional maintenance and infrastructure work.
So why are we scheduling 3 maintenance windows? Are we actually planning to be unavailable for 3 upcoming Saturdays? The answer is most likely not. Right now our priority is to give customers as much notice to plan as possible. As we get closer we may determine that we’re only going to use one or two of these windows based on our assessment of overall readiness, risk and how we incrementally cutover components. We have doubled down on our testing efforts to ensure that we have confidence in our ability to manage the cutover gracefully without customer impact. We have also evaluated the outages we experienced in December and have a much improved plan to fail back quickly in the worst case scenario.
Our commitment to you, our customers, is that we will continue to update you as our plan progresses. We know that there have been challenges, we are committed to delivering a reliable Rally experience that you can depend on, and will share more details as our plan progresses.

Hello Rally Customers!
On May 31, 2021 Rally is moving its Single Sign-On (SSO) solution from PingFederate to Okta. This transition will have implications if you currently use PingFederate to access Rally, as you will lose the ability to log into Rally via SSO connection come May 31, 2021.
Rally will have to reconfigure its new Broadcom Okta instance to point to your identity provider (IdP). This also means that we will need to speak with your Rally administrator and possibly your SSO administrator in order to make this migration happen.
If you have not already completed this process, please ask your subscription administrator to open a Support Ticket to initiate the process of transitioning from PingFederate to Okta SSO. Once your request is received, our Rally Support engineers will work with your Identity Provider (IdP) administrator to transition your subscription to our new SSO solution.
